Characteristics
Beskrivning The BBT-F bearing, with or without flange, is a three-layer bearing consisting of a bronze mantle and a sintered bronze middle layer that is impregnated and coated with a PTFE/lead mixture. The BBT-F bearing is primarily intended for oscillatory motions and bearing installations where frequent stop-start occurs.
The friction coefficient is very low and therefore the BBT bearing can be used without lubrication. The BBT-F bearing has good chemical resistance to most common substances. The thin layer that constitutes the bearing’s surface, should be well protected to avoid damage during assembly and from heat e.g. from welding.
Lubrication The BBT-F bearing is primarily intended to be used without lubrication. If initial lubrication does take place then additional lubrication is also recommended. Additional lubrication can be also recommended to prevent corrosion of the shaft material. Greases with additives of graphite or molybdenum disulphide should be avoided.
Tolerance Seat H7, recommended shaft tolerance f7 for shafts up to 75 mm. Over 75 mm we recommend h8.
